The Bachelorette ~ The Men Tell All

OK this show really answered a few questions for me.

They talked to a lot of the memorable guys. The two I was most interested in were Jeremy and Graham.

Graham said that he wished Deanna had asked “What are we doing to not be successful as a couple”, and said that he didn’t feel he wasn’t opening up, but that he felt Deanna took that for granted. He could have shut her down by refusing a rose, but by accepting, he allowed her into his life, especially with the home town date.

Jeremy said he still has feelings for Deanna and isn’t quite sure what happened. He said that everything he thought love was, Deanna portrayed.

Deanna explained that there were a lot of signs or flags with Graham, and that she just couldn’t see herself with him long term. She thought she was giving more than he was, which in watching I agreed with.

With Jeremy, she said that she realized in the Bahamas that she wanted the bond with Jeremy so badly that she tried to push what they had in common, with the death of a parent, into feelings that she just couldn’t keep forcing. I think her revealing this really answered a lot of questions as to why she let such a great guy go. I think that it would be awesome to have Jeremy as “The Bachelor” and give him a second chance at love.

After watching the sneak peak of the final show, I really think that Jason will be the last guy standing.

The Bachelorette

This week, Deanna took the final 3 guys to the Grand Bahama Island.

Her first date was with Jeremy. It was very romantic, and Jeremy told Deanna that he would like to tell her he is falling in love with her, but that he can’t because he already has. I think Jeremy is the perfect guy for Deanna. Jeremy and Deanna spend the night in the fantasy suite.

The Second date was with Jason. They went off roading, and Kayaking, and had a lot of fun. Jason told Deanna that he has mad him realize that he can fall in love again, because he is falling in love with her. Deanna and Jason spend the night in the fantasy suite.

The last date was with Jesse, where they went horse back riding, and walked on the beach. Jesse told Deanna that he is totally falling for her… OK that just sounded like a dumb blond speaking… Jesse pulls a joke on Deanna telling her he isn’t sure if he can go to the Fantasy Suite with her before he meets her dad. When she asks ‘Are you serious?’ he starts cracking up, and says No, he was waiting for her to ask. They spend the night in the fantasy suite.

At the rose ceremony, I was sure that Jesse would be sent home, but to my surprise, he got the first rose. The last rose went to Jason, sending Jeremy home. Deanna told Jeremy that she is stupid for sending him home, and that he is the perfect guy… I don’t really understand her reasons here. Jeremy is crushed by this, and I don’t blame him. They really had something, but Deanna says she doesn’t want to make the mistake of that the bond they have from both having parents who have passed away as love. I don’t think she really realized that there was more to the relationship than the similarity they had with this issue. Jeremy doesn’t know how he will deal with another person he loves leaving his life.

Anyways, next week Deanna takes Jason and Jesse home to meet her family. Right now I have no idea who she is going to pick, but if I have to make a prediction I think it is going to be Jason.

“Somehow I can’t believe that there are any heights that can’t be scaled by a man who knows the secrets of making dreams come true. The Bachelorette

I actually got to watch this only about an hour delayed tonight. Tonight we had the hometown dates.

First date was in Breckenridge, CO with Jesse. Deanna and Jesse went snowboarding, and Jesse took Deanna out of her comfort zone. I have to admit its the first time I’ve watched a snowboarder and thought ‘That looks like a lot of fun.’

Jesse’s house reflected the owner perfectly. You had no doubt when they showed it who lived there. I was impressed that Jesse has a NPO that gives under-privileged kids the opportunity to learn to snowboard, and have equipment.

His parents really have it together, and know that to have a successful relationship you have to be friends first. They raised smart, caring son. Tonight Deanna and Jesse shared their first kiss.

The Second hometown date was with Jeremyin Huston, TX. Jeremy opened up to Deanna even more, and really proved he has what it takes to bring a commitment that would lead to a successful marriage. Whoever ends up with this guy is going to score big time.

His family supports him 100%, and I thought it was awesome that they said that if his heart got broken it was OK, and that they would be there to help fix it when everything was done. They told Deanna that they won’t really embrace her until they know its a sure thing. They are willing, but reserved. Very smart family.

The thrid home town date went to Jason in Seattle, WA. Jason took Deanna to the Seattle Space Needle. Oh how I envy her… The scenery made me miss Washington, lol. Deanna met Jason’s family and his little boy. She said something very profound. “No little girl grows up dreaming ‘I want to be a stepmother’, but I can see myself stepping into that role.”

It impressed me that Jason’s family tried to make her feel comfortable and welcome in their home, and made Greek cusine. Jason’s mom told him its worth the risk that you may get hurt, to find the right woman. She is a classy lady who has raised some very classy kids.

The last hometown date took us to North Carolina, and Graham’s family’s house. Graham really opened up at the start of the date, but as the night progressed, it was like watching the train-wreck of Graham and Deanna. Its horrible, but you just can’t tear your eyes away from it.

Graham’s mom had a heart to heart with Deanna, and told her that a relationship with her son will be a difficult road. He doesn’t open up to people, even when they are close to him, and that finding that ‘Someone who will last more than 4 weeks’ was difficult for him.

After dinner, they went out and sat on a bench, where Graham clammed up again. Deanna admits that its hard for her, but that somehow she always seems to be OK with it, even though it pretty much drives her up the wall. She left North Carolina feeling let down, and rightfully so.

At the rose cerimony, Deanna really put herself out there. The first rose went to our first hometown date… Jesse. The second rose, to the Second Hometown date, Jeremy. The last rose… Jason.

As Deanna walked Graham out, she told him just how hard it was on her, because ‘The one person she was falling in love with, and opening up to wouldn’t return the favor.’ She wants a guy who at the end when she chooses him, will chose her as well. She’s afraid she won’t find love with the other three, but I think she has to learn the lesson, that a relationship can’t be built on physical attraction only.

I was very pleased that Deanna sent Graham home. With him out of the picture, the 3 classiest guys in the house now have the chance to not only fall in love with Deanna, if they haven’t already, but she will give herself the chance to see that love is more than the butterflies in the stomach, and physical attraction.

I’m going to give my guess for the final 2, and say Jeremy and Jason will become the final two. Jesse is starting to make his move, however I think he lacks some of the qualities that Deanna is looking for in her future spouse.  I applaud him for taking it slow, and sticking up for what he wants. He has his head on his shoulders, but I do not think that they would be the forever couple she wants.

Of these last 3 guys, I think the 2 she doesn’t pick should have the chance to become the Bachelor and have a second chance, as they all deserve a happy ending.
