So I am checking my email today… and ZOMG… a new Harry Potter trailer.

The kid they got to play the young Tom Riddle is creepy. I don’t know how they find kids who can be so creepy for movies like this. Anyways, I am including the trailer for you all.

Went to watch Wall-e with DH today. It was a really cute movie, once you got past the you need to take care of the earth, or we will all live in space be fat, and Earth will have piles of trash higher than the buildings in New York City ‘Humans are evil” theme behind the movie.

Wall-e is your typical trouble maker, who is one of the robots cleaning up after humans left earth. One of my favorite scenes with Wall-e is when he found a Diamond ring in a box, and tosses the Diamond Ring away, to keep its box.

Eve is a probe that seeks for organic material on earth.

Wall-e meets Eve and falls in love with her. I thought the relationship between Eve and Wall-e was very cute, and cried when Wall-e got crushed.. but Eve fixed Wall-e and like every good Disney film should end… this one did have a happy ending.

I give the movie one thumb up. Definitely would recommend either renting this movie or seeing it in the dollar theater.

I went to my mom’s for dinner tonight, to celebrate Father’s day with my grandfather early, since my family will be out of town next weekend. My grandfather brought along August Rush for us to watch.

This film starts like any good wholesome family movie should. With a one night stand at a drunken party. Over controling parents, and fist fights round out the begining of this film. We then have an unplanned pregnancy, caused by our one night stand, which leads to a young child raised in an orphanage.

Ok now that I have my scarcasm out of the way…

This movie is slow to get going, but the lessons in the movie, and the music are amazing. Once the movie got going, I couldn’t tear my eyes off the screen.  The story is of a young child who is raised in an orphanage. He says he can hear the music in the sky, and everything around him speaking to him. It tells him his parents are out there. He believes his parents will find him if only they hear his music.

Robin Williams, Keri Russell, Jonathan Rhys Meyers and Freddie Highmore star in this movie about music, and hearing music in everything around you. I give this movie 4 stars out of 5. I highly recommend renting if not purchasing the film (which is what I am off to Amazon.com to do right now).

This movie is the sequil to The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe. I enjoyed this movie greatly, and highly recommend this movie to any fantasy movie buff.

The movie begins with the birth of King Miraz’s son.  Shortly after this birth, we meet Prince Caspian as he is awakened by his toutor Doctor Cornelius. Prince Caspian flees into the forest, persued by his uncle’s assassins. Meanwhile standing in a train station in 1941, Peter, Susan, Edmund and Lucy Pevensie are talking about readjusting to life in England. Suddenly a wind starts gusting, and the 4 Pevensie children hold hands.

They are wisked away from England to Narnia, where they find themselves standing on a beach below some ruins. After searching through the ruins, they discover that they are in Cair Paravel, where they once ruled as the Kings and Queens of Narnia. They later learn that while it has only been one year on Earth, they have been away from Narnia for 1300 years.

This movie is about the choices they make, and how they help Prince Caspian reclaim his throne. To not spoil this movie for those who have not read the book I will leave the rest of the spoilers out. The story of the book parallels the aposticy after Christ’s death. Lewis discribed the story himself in a letter to an American girl, “(as) the restoration of the true religion after a corruption”

There are many themes in the movie, courage and chivalry as this is story is one of Narnia’s civil war. Faith in what can not be seen, the new Narnia can be seen as a parallel to the modern world, in which old beliefs are scoffed at. “Who believes in Aslan nowadays?” asks Trumpkin when he first meets Caspian. Those who “hold on”, like the badgers, are praised with the return of Aslan.

I would give this movie 4 stars out of 5.
