The Bachelorette ~ After the Final Rose

After the shock of Deanna choosing Jesse, they bring Jesse back to talk to him. He says he is ready to find love even after what happened. I am proud of him.

Jason got to ask Deanna some questions, and she said that she knew the day of the rose ceremony, that even though she was falling in love with him, she was already there with Jesse. She apologized for making him feel like she did when Brad didn’t choose her, and said that she never wanted to make him feel like that, but she realizes after watching that it is exactly how she made him feel.

When he asked why she let him go down on one knee, she said she got caught up in the moment, and she didn’t mean to have let him. That when she saw him she just was reminded of all the good things they had. He said that after watching the show, he wasn’t sure how she could say she didn’t know til the day of the rose ceremony that she didn’t love him, because she never looked at him like she did at Jesse or Graham. She said that Jesse is a greater man than Graham, and that Jason was as well, and that they had traits more superior than Graham ever did.

They brought out Matt & Shane from season 12. Matt looks terrible bald, and Shane looked trashy.

They are engaged, but holding off on the wedding, planning on traveling. Shane is not dating others, its just gossip from her going out with all of her friends, no they haven’t broken up, and Matt did not do the show to get a green card.

Deanna and Jesse talk about their relationship, and announce their plans to be married in the Bahamas on May 9, 2009. Her family is happy, and her father says that he knew after she brought the guys home that she had already chosen Jesse when they met the guys. He said it was still shocking to him that she picked Jesse at the end.

The show gave them a trip to Greece for their honeymoon.

I hope that both Matt & Shane and Deanna & Jesse are happy, and even though I feel disappointed in the decisions of the last two seasons, I will definitely watch next season….

The Bachelorette

The final week of The Bachelorette was surprises all around.

Deanna took Jesse and Jason home to meet her family. Jason did very well and overall made a wonderful impression with her family. Jesse really crashed and burned meeting the family. He had trouble expressing himself, and was extremely nervous.

The next day Deanna brings the bachelors over to meet the rest of her family, but surprise #1 both guys show up to meet her family together… Talk about awkward!! Jesse does better in being himself and opens up to the family more. Jason has a heart to heart with Deanna’s grandma who tells him that she thinks he is the one for her.

After the guys leave, Deanna grills her family for answers as to who they think is better.

After this Deanna and the guys return to the Grand Bahama island and have their final dates.

Surprise #2: The night they return, Deanna has a meeting with Jeremy who she let go last week. He told her, that it was partially his fault for not opening up and telling her everything he felt. He was so afraid of being hurt again. She told him that she just didn’t love him, and that she was falling in love with Jesse and Jason. It was tearful and she says she hopes that she explained it to him so that he understands.

Jesse and Deanna fly to a secluded island, and when they return to the hotel he gives her a book of feelings that shows how he feels about her. He is totally head over heels in love with this woman… sounds a bit crazy and can we like say valley girl speak like totally ruins it?

The last date with Jason is swimming with the sharks. Deanna and Jason are crazy, but he really shows her that she can depend on him to be adventurous but still be the pillar of strength in her life. They share a romantic evening recounting their dates together.

The final surprise: The final rose cerimony comes…

The first limo pulls up… OMG she’s sending Jason home… Complete blindside… I can’t believe she’s choosing Jesse…  Jason heads up and they start talking. He starts to get on one knee to propose, and she tells him she can’t. That she is in love with someone else. She is so sorry, and all the time, only one solitary tear runs down her face. Hello, you showed more emotion talking to Jeremy who you let go last week than you are showing this man you are telling that you are falling in love with, but that you love someone else more… I feel like Jason has been cheated, and lead on by her with this. She sends him home, only to wait for the man she has chosen.

The second limo pulls up, and she just can’t wipe the grin off of her face. I’m still in shock… I did not see this coming in a million years. Jesse of course runs up to her, and they kiss. He proposes asking her if she will spend forever with him, to which she answers yes. She then says “I can’t believe I’m marrying the man with pink shoelaces.”

I feel so cheated by this season, and I really can’t see why she picked Jesse. I guess this is the same as I can’t see why Matt chose Shane… Maybe it’s just me, but I would want so much more out of a relationship than what both of these couples chose.

Anyways Jesse & Deanna are planning a May 9, 2009 wedding.

The Bachelorette ~ The Men Tell All

OK this show really answered a few questions for me.

They talked to a lot of the memorable guys. The two I was most interested in were Jeremy and Graham.

Graham said that he wished Deanna had asked “What are we doing to not be successful as a couple”, and said that he didn’t feel he wasn’t opening up, but that he felt Deanna took that for granted. He could have shut her down by refusing a rose, but by accepting, he allowed her into his life, especially with the home town date.

Jeremy said he still has feelings for Deanna and isn’t quite sure what happened. He said that everything he thought love was, Deanna portrayed.

Deanna explained that there were a lot of signs or flags with Graham, and that she just couldn’t see herself with him long term. She thought she was giving more than he was, which in watching I agreed with.

With Jeremy, she said that she realized in the Bahamas that she wanted the bond with Jeremy so badly that she tried to push what they had in common, with the death of a parent, into feelings that she just couldn’t keep forcing. I think her revealing this really answered a lot of questions as to why she let such a great guy go. I think that it would be awesome to have Jeremy as “The Bachelor” and give him a second chance at love.

After watching the sneak peak of the final show, I really think that Jason will be the last guy standing.

The Bachelorette

This week, Deanna took the final 3 guys to the Grand Bahama Island.

Her first date was with Jeremy. It was very romantic, and Jeremy told Deanna that he would like to tell her he is falling in love with her, but that he can’t because he already has. I think Jeremy is the perfect guy for Deanna. Jeremy and Deanna spend the night in the fantasy suite.

The Second date was with Jason. They went off roading, and Kayaking, and had a lot of fun. Jason told Deanna that he has mad him realize that he can fall in love again, because he is falling in love with her. Deanna and Jason spend the night in the fantasy suite.

The last date was with Jesse, where they went horse back riding, and walked on the beach. Jesse told Deanna that he is totally falling for her… OK that just sounded like a dumb blond speaking… Jesse pulls a joke on Deanna telling her he isn’t sure if he can go to the Fantasy Suite with her before he meets her dad. When she asks ‘Are you serious?’ he starts cracking up, and says No, he was waiting for her to ask. They spend the night in the fantasy suite.

At the rose ceremony, I was sure that Jesse would be sent home, but to my surprise, he got the first rose. The last rose went to Jason, sending Jeremy home. Deanna told Jeremy that she is stupid for sending him home, and that he is the perfect guy… I don’t really understand her reasons here. Jeremy is crushed by this, and I don’t blame him. They really had something, but Deanna says she doesn’t want to make the mistake of that the bond they have from both having parents who have passed away as love. I don’t think she really realized that there was more to the relationship than the similarity they had with this issue. Jeremy doesn’t know how he will deal with another person he loves leaving his life.

Anyways, next week Deanna takes Jason and Jesse home to meet her family. Right now I have no idea who she is going to pick, but if I have to make a prediction I think it is going to be Jason.

The Bachelorette

I actually got to watch this only about an hour delayed tonight. Tonight we had the hometown dates.

First date was in Breckenridge, CO with Jesse. Deanna and Jesse went snowboarding, and Jesse took Deanna out of her comfort zone. I have to admit its the first time I’ve watched a snowboarder and thought ‘That looks like a lot of fun.’

Jesse’s house reflected the owner perfectly. You had no doubt when they showed it who lived there. I was impressed that Jesse has a NPO that gives under-privileged kids the opportunity to learn to snowboard, and have equipment.

His parents really have it together, and know that to have a successful relationship you have to be friends first. They raised smart, caring son. Tonight Deanna and Jesse shared their first kiss.

The Second hometown date was with Jeremyin Huston, TX. Jeremy opened up to Deanna even more, and really proved he has what it takes to bring a commitment that would lead to a successful marriage. Whoever ends up with this guy is going to score big time.

His family supports him 100%, and I thought it was awesome that they said that if his heart got broken it was OK, and that they would be there to help fix it when everything was done. They told Deanna that they won’t really embrace her until they know its a sure thing. They are willing, but reserved. Very smart family.

The thrid home town date went to Jason in Seattle, WA. Jason took Deanna to the Seattle Space Needle. Oh how I envy her… The scenery made me miss Washington, lol. Deanna met Jason’s family and his little boy. She said something very profound. “No little girl grows up dreaming ‘I want to be a stepmother’, but I can see myself stepping into that role.”

It impressed me that Jason’s family tried to make her feel comfortable and welcome in their home, and made Greek cusine. Jason’s mom told him its worth the risk that you may get hurt, to find the right woman. She is a classy lady who has raised some very classy kids.

The last hometown date took us to North Carolina, and Graham’s family’s house. Graham really opened up at the start of the date, but as the night progressed, it was like watching the train-wreck of Graham and Deanna. Its horrible, but you just can’t tear your eyes away from it.

Graham’s mom had a heart to heart with Deanna, and told her that a relationship with her son will be a difficult road. He doesn’t open up to people, even when they are close to him, and that finding that ‘Someone who will last more than 4 weeks’ was difficult for him.

After dinner, they went out and sat on a bench, where Graham clammed up again. Deanna admits that its hard for her, but that somehow she always seems to be OK with it, even though it pretty much drives her up the wall. She left North Carolina feeling let down, and rightfully so.

At the rose cerimony, Deanna really put herself out there. The first rose went to our first hometown date… Jesse. The second rose, to the Second Hometown date, Jeremy. The last rose… Jason.

As Deanna walked Graham out, she told him just how hard it was on her, because ‘The one person she was falling in love with, and opening up to wouldn’t return the favor.’ She wants a guy who at the end when she chooses him, will chose her as well. She’s afraid she won’t find love with the other three, but I think she has to learn the lesson, that a relationship can’t be built on physical attraction only.

I was very pleased that Deanna sent Graham home. With him out of the picture, the 3 classiest guys in the house now have the chance to not only fall in love with Deanna, if they haven’t already, but she will give herself the chance to see that love is more than the butterflies in the stomach, and physical attraction.

I’m going to give my guess for the final 2, and say Jeremy and Jason will become the final two. Jesse is starting to make his move, however I think he lacks some of the qualities that Deanna is looking for in her future spouse.  I applaud him for taking it slow, and sticking up for what he wants. He has his head on his shoulders, but I do not think that they would be the forever couple she wants.

Of these last 3 guys, I think the 2 she doesn’t pick should have the chance to become the Bachelor and have a second chance, as they all deserve a happy ending.

The Bachelorette

Ok I’ve finally finished watching through this weeks The Bachelorette. This week Deanna took the remaining 6 guys away from the Out House.

Her first date was with Sean. They had a romantic dinner on the top of a mountain, followed by dessert back at Deanna’s place. They talked a little about what the home town date would be like if she went to his place. At the end of the date if there had been a rose, she would have given it to him.

The next day she takes Twilley, Jason, Jesse and Graham out 4 wheeling. The date starts with a helicopter landing on the lawn and Twilley and Deanna heading off in one, leaving Jason, Jesse and Graham to take a second to the date. Twilley gets motion sickness, and barely keeps his breakfast down. I think Deanna was glad to get out of the helicopter after that. Twilley says he thinks the ride was someones idea of a sick joke to make him puke in her lap.

They head over a sand dune, and the 4 wheelers appear. They guys hop on, and Deanna takes off. Throughout the date Twilley is off in Twilley Land doing his own thing and not anything with Deanna. Jason and Graham take it safe on the 4 wheelers, but Jesse is doing wheelies and jumps left and right. After the date on the 4 wheelers, they head back to Deanna’s place for a pool party.

Jason gets the first one on one time with Deanna, and they talk about the home town date. Jason says she would meet his Mom and Dad as well as his son Ty. He says he is like his mom more than anyone in his family and that she has taught him how to love.

Jesse comes and steals Deanna away. After the 4 wheeling Deanna really wants to kiss Jesse, but he is completely clueless, and misses all the signals she is sending to him.

Graham steals Deanna from Jesse, and they head to the hammock to talk. They talk a little, then start kissing.

Jermey gets the last one on one date, at Frank Sinatra’s house. He gets to sing some of the songs written by Frank and dance with Deanna before dinner. The date is romantic, and conversation seems easy between Jermey and Deanna.

At the cocktail party before the rose ceremony, the guys walk in to find Deanna missing. Chris comes in and tells them that there will be no cocktail party as Deanna has made up her mind. The rose Ceremony starts. Jermey gets the first rose. Jason the second, Graham the third. Last rose goes to….

Jesse???? Obviously I am missing something here.

Granted last week my picks for the final 4 were Jason, Jeremy, Graham and Jesse, but after watching this weeks episode I was expecting Sean to get the rose.

My picks for the Final 3 who actually make it are are Jason, Jeremy and Graham. I am hoping that Deanna will finally get over the “Deer in the headlights” complex with Graham and send him packing. Yeah he may be hot, but he is not at the point that he would make a good husband for her. I see any relationship between Deanna and Graham falling apart quickly due to his attitude that for them to go anywhere that they need to argue and compromise on what they want.  There should be no compromise in a relationship unless its over furniture. Definitely not over the qualities you want in your partner.

I will do my best to get next week’s summary up quicker than I did this week.

The Bachelorette tells all

Ok, So I finally have watched the first half of this weeks Bachelorette, Deanna tells all. I figured that I should start with this, and do the show recap later.

Deanna says she is enjoying watching this season and seeing what she didn’t know before. She said it was a shock that they had a virgin on the show because he had never told her.

She said of Robert on the first night that it was nice that he thought out of the box, and instead of telling what he was he showed her.

She talked a little about the Race Track date and said the following.

She talked about Graham and where he refused to kiss her and be one of the crowd shocking to her.

She said Sean and her have a connection, and took the time to get to know her.

She talked about Jason & Her one on one date. She said that she has never opened up to anyone to the extent she did with him when it came to the subject of her mother. She said that by telling her about Ty his 3 year old he trusted her, and she felt that she could trust him.

Deanna said she has faith that her future husband is on the show.

Why she sent Richard home. She said he is the perfect guy. She said that on their date she could tell he was dying to kiss her, and all she could think about was how she wished she wanted to kiss him back, and she knew then that he wasn’t the guy for her. She could not let him fall in love with her more because it was unfair to him.

In speaking about what happened at the BBQ the guys threw. She was excited to get to spend time with all the guys. She felt alone, and she thought that Robert didn’t even care one way or another that he had a date with her. He totally under estimated himself. She said the guys made her feel alone, and that they were not focusing on what they had with her, but on what she had with all the other guys.

She talked about the Two on One date where she sent both Robert and Fred home. She said that she had been arguing with Robert, and that the mood was not at all romantic when he tried to go in for the kiss. She says on seeing his reaction to being sent home, that she didn’t feel any kind of connection with him, and failed to see how he had thought that there was one there.

She said the hardest part about sending Robert home was that Fred thought he was safe. She said she could have given him the rose, and let him stay another episode, but that would have been the cowardly way, and he deserved better than to be led on like that.

The Bachelorette tells all did a short on Trista and Ryan, the First Bachelor/Bachelorette Family. Like Deanna Trista was rejected her first time around on the Bachelor. Also like Deanna, She got a second chance, and was the Bachelorette, where she met and fell in love with Ryan. Trista and Ryan were married in a TV event, where 20 Million viewers tuned in to watch them say ‘I do’. They have a little baby boy named Max, and love parenthood.

Trista says she thinks Deanna is doing a good job, that she is saying what she feels which is needed, and she hopes that Deanna doesn’t hold back. She can’t wait to see where they go for the exotics, as that is where she fell in love with Ryan.

They took a look at the final 6 guys in this episode.

Jesse: Has broken ankles, toes, fingers, arms and his nose being a professional snow boarder. He says he loves that he gets to travel a lot, and live on the edge. He wants to be himself, and if he goes home, he goes home as himself. He wants to be the guy Deanna wants to be with and thinks shes a once in a life-time catch.

Twilley: Created a real estate tracking software when he was in college. Describes himself as a total Idiot. I think hes a total moron. He says he knows how to get Deanna’s attention, my take on that is in all the wrong ways.

Jason: Single Father. Describes himself as a risk taker. Lives his life to the fullest. He says he has everything he wants in life except for someone to share it with. He said that the best time he was able to spend with Deanna was after she had sent Robert and Fred home. She had the opportunity to see that she could lean on him for support. He thinks she will be a good mother.

Sean: Was small as a child. He is very competitive. He says he likes the nicer things in life, and if its not name brand that he won’t bother with it. He tans so he looks thinner, and sauna’s to loose water weight. (Not healthy). He says he talks to his mother 2-3 times a day, and lives a block from her. Deanna will have to live with the fact that he’s a mommas boy, but you can tell a lot about a man by how he treats his momma.

Graham: He has his concerns about Deanna. He feels that he hasn’t opened up to her as much as he should. He says he finds it very difficult to deal with the relationships Deanna has with the others. He thinks for them to move forward in a relationship that they need to argue more, and compromise on what they want. (This raises some serious issues with me. I think that Deanna would be stupid to choose him over the others because it would be a physical attraction, and not a good mental attraction that will last.)

Jermey: Likes extreme sports. As a real estate attorney he has very little time for a social life. He feels he has held back to Deanna, but has been able to open up to her about big things like the deaths of his parents. He wants to be around Deanna. He said ‘If there’s an empty chair by her, I’m taking it.” He doesn’t want the other guys in ‘his spot’.

Deanna said she doesn’t have a favorite, and that this show has shown her that she doesn’t know all of what she wants as well as she thought she did. Twilley and Jesse for example are extremely opposite of what she wanted coming in.

She said about Sean that he has ‘it’ together, and his head squarely on his shoulders. He has a big heart. She said they connected because of what they have in common.

She said Graham doesn’t have to do anything. She says she hates arguing with him but hes so hot, that its like going to see a train wreck and she just can’t keep from wanting to go back. (She sees the signs that this won’t work out).

She said that Jason is an amazingly great guy, and that she doesn’t want to break his heart.

She said the chemistry is really picking up with the 6 guys.

The Bachelorette

Its time again for my Trash TV review of this weeks Bachelorette.

This week started with a competition for a one on one date with Deanna. The guys all had to write and perform a song for Deanna, about their feelings for her. Jesse came up the winner of the one on one date with Deanna.

For their date they had dinner in an amazing old theater, and were serenaded by Natasha Bettingfield. Jesse walked away from the date with a rose. For the group date, 6 of the guys got to go to the speedway and drive stock cars. The competition this time was to see who could go the fastest. Sean won with 141.11 mph and got one on one time with Deanna. Deanna blew all the guys out of the water going 141.56 mph. Go Girl! Graham on his one on one time, blew Dianna off when she was wanting a kiss from him. She told him how she was feeling, and he told her he didn’t want to be one of the crowd, and follow someone else in kissing her. She told him she hadn’t kissed anyone else and that the one on one time was about them, and no one else. In the end, Sean got the rose for this date.

The day of the two on one date, the guys invited Deanna and the guys from the house down to the ‘Out House’ for a BBQ. Robert was feeling like he couldn’t compete with the guys and went off by himself. A few of the other guys were hanging out together or ignoring Deanna completely, and it caused Deanna to chew the guys out for being selfish, and telling all the guys to stay at the Out House while she went up to the mansion.

On the Two on One date, Robert and Fred had dinner with Deanna at a beautiful mansion. Robert tried to give Deanna a kiss, when she wanted to talk about what had happened at the BBQ. He said that he felt communication was essential for a good relationship, and she told him he had not been communicating but running from the conflict.  She dodges the kiss that Robert tries to give her. In her one on one time with Fred, he played it more safely, and didn’t try to kiss her. He told her he enjoyed their one on one time, and that when he got to hug her he never wanted to let go. After the one on one time with both guys, Deanna tells Robert that she can not give him the rose, and sends him home. Fred is feeling better, until Deanna comes back and tells him that she doesn’t want to lead him on, and that he is one of the best guys at the house, but she doesn’t see forever with him, and that hes too good to be lead on like Brad lead her on. She sends him home as well.

Back at the house, the guys are all expecting Fred to come home after what had happened at the BBQ and are all shocked when both Robert’s and Fred’s bags are taken out. It hits home to all of the guys that Deanna is serious and won’t keep you around if she doesn’t feel the connection.

At home, Jason, who is now the only guy left at the house, asks Deanna if she wants to talk about what had happened. The talk about how hard it is, and that she didn’t think it would be this hard for her. After a long talk, they start to kiss.

At the rose ceremony, all the guys get some one on one time, and Graham seems to redeem himself by telling Deanna that it hurt him that he hurt her. He gives her a kiss which she doesn’t dodge.  After the one on one time with all the guys, she invites them to the pool. While they are all having fun, the rose ceremony is called. Jesse and Sean are safe, as they received roses earlier in the week. Our first rose of the night goes to Jason. Then Jeremy, Twilley and finally Graham. Brian is sent home.

He says that his downfall was that since he was never in the house with Deanna, that he bonded with the guys and acted like he was there to have fun, and not for the right reasons. He wishes he had done things differently and had taken more time with Deanna when he had the chance.

The Bachelorette

So I watched the Bachelorette last night, and I was fairly impressed with Deanna, granted I think that she should have waited longer for her to kiss the guys. Deanna first went on a one on one date with Richard. Through out the date, Deanna felt that the most she had with Richard is a friendship, and lets him know this, as she sends him home.

She then took the rest of the bachelors with exception of Jason (our bachelor with a 3 year old) on a date to a dude ranch. I was impressed with several of our bachelors, Jesse who told Deanna he doesn’t want to be with someone whose only identity is “Jesse’s Girlfriend.” Additionally Robert, who sticks his neck out and tells Deanna how he is feeling, gets the rose for the evening. Ron goes off on Deanna for keeping Jermey at the house. He then goes off on Jeremy in front of Deanna and the others.

On Jason’s date with Deanna he finally tells her about Ty, which scored some points for me, and found out that it is not a deal breaker for her. He gets a rose, and gets to stay.

Before the final rose ceremony, the remaining 11 bachelors, and Deanna have a visit with Ellen. Ellen points out a few warning signs about some of the guys to Deanna, which she takes advice and confronts the guys with. Fred gets the rose from Ellen to stay around.

At the final rose ceremony, Ron tells Deanna he thought that she wasn’t his type, but that morning he had gotten a case of the ‘Deanna’s’. Deanna gives Ron a chance, but the conversation is strained, and she is glad for the interruption of another bachelor coming to ’steal her’ from him.

In the end, Ron goes home, and I find that Deanna’s choices are moving her towards what she wants in the end. I also feel that she is making better and better choices as the show progresses.

The Bachelorette

The History of this season’s Batchelortette started when millions of viewers watched DeAnna Pappas , 26, suffer through a painful, last-minute rejection by Brad Womack on the 2006 season of “The Bachelor” — earning her the sympathy of women everywhere. Now DeAnna will have the last laugh as the tables are turned and she gets to choose from among 25 bachelors in her own bid for true love.

This was the last Batchelor I watched before “The Batchelor – London Calling” Where I feel Matt chose the wrong girl.

Anyways, two weeks into the show, I am now cheering for Brian since my favorite Ryan was sent home last night. I think that the guy with the son really has done a disservice not only to Deanna, but the other batchelors as well by not telling Deanna about his son. Knowing may have changed some of her decisions, however if they hadn’t the guys leaving who know about his son, and that he hasn’t told Deanna wouldn’t always think, what if he had told her. I feel that it is especially unfair as he got the first One on One time on the first group date last night, and had the opportunity to tell her and left that out.

I also feel that DeAnna should have waited longer to start kissing guys.
